Ericksen Krentel Introduces New Managers

NEW ORLEANS – Gretchen Lozes Fischer CPA, MBA has joined Ericksen Krentel as a manager in the firm’s Accounting and Audit Services Section.

Fischer oversees the quality and timeliness of services to many of the firm’s audit clients. During her career, she has performed audits dealing with a variety of industries such as nonprofits, hospitals, professional services, construction and financial institutions. She also has extensive experience in auditing employee benefit plans in accordance with DOL and ERISA guidelines.

Fischer is a member of the Junior League of New Orleans, where she serves as treasurer of the Community Council; a member of the Society of Louisiana CPAs, where she participates on the Financial Literacy Committee; and a member of the American Institute of CPAs. She earned her master’s of business administration from Loyola University and her bachelor’s degree in accounting from Louisiana State University.

Troy Rush CPA, CFE, CVA, has been promoted to senior manager of the firm’s Consulting Services Section. Rush provides services related to litigation support, business valuations, forensic accounting and small business consulting, in addition to matrimonial litigation, such as the determination of income for child and spousal support purposes, calculation of community assets and liabilities for partition purposes, and general financial consultation and analyses. He also provides clients with calculations related to profit/earnings, business income and other losses.

Rush also has experience in the appraisal of insurance claims as well as conducting business valuations. In addition to being licensed as a Certified Public Accountant, Rush is a Certified Fraud Examiner, as designated by the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners, as well as a Certified Valuation Analyst, as designated by the National Association of Certified Valuators and Analyst.

Rush is a board member of the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners’ New Orleans chapter and the Northshore Claims Association. He also is a member of the Young Association for Corporate Growth’s New Orleans chapter, the Louisiana and New Orleans Claims associations, the National Association of Certified Valuators and Analysts, the Society of Louisiana CPAs and the American Institute of CPAs. Rush earned his bachelor’s degree in accounting from Northwestern State University.

Sarah Bourgeois CPA has been promoted to manager of the firm’s Client Accounting Services Section .

Bourgeois helps clients in industries such as government, hospitality, healthcare, maritime, insurance and manufacturing with cloud-based accounting, virtual controller and CFO services. She specializes in monthly accounting/compilation work for clients among various industries. Her experience includes myriad audits, preparation of tax returns, bookkeeping, compilations, reviews and supervising clients’ finance departments, all while offering improvements to their accounting processes to help keep them in regulatory compliance.

Bourgeois is a member of the American Women’s Business Association, the Society of Louisiana CPAs and the American Institute of CPAs. She earned her bachelor’s degree in accounting from Southeastern Louisiana University
