Jim Tonglet Named 2019 CityBusiness Money Maker

by

Jim Tonglet, partner in charge of Ericksen Krentel’s Client Accounting Services section, has  been recognized among New Orleans CityBusiness’ 2019 Money Makers honorees, which recognizes local professionals for financial achievements in their respective industries and their community impact.

Jim has been instrumental in lending his skills to the firm’s branding efforts from a community standpoint, having served in roles among various community organizations and helping expand the firm’s presence throughout St. Tammany and Tangipahoa parishes, in addition to the Mississippi Gulf Coast. But where Jim has excelled over the years is the attention and care with which he provides clients. Jim always puts the client first, making time to answer a call or sit down with them to explain any issues or find efficiencies to help them achieve their business and personal financial goals.

Jim, who supervises a team of eight Client Accounting Services Associates, has been responsible for growing the firm’s presence on the North Shore, with a focus on governments and nonprofits. His main goal is providing clients in industries such as government, hospitality, healthcare, maritime, insurance and manufacturing with cloud-based accounting, virtual controller and CFO services. That accounting and auditing experience includes privately owned small businesses, governmental agencies and nonprofits spans more than 30 years.

Community involvement is equally important to Jim:

  • Tammany West Chamber (Public Affairs Committee)
  • Slidell Memorial Hospital Foundation (Board of Directors)
  • Safe Haven Foundation (Board of Directors)
  • Northshore Business Council (Member)
  • Rising Phoenix Referral Group (Past-President)
