Ericksen Krentel Expands Assurance Team With Senior Manager, Senior and Staff

Astrid A. Potts CPA, MBA has joined Ericksen Krentel as a senior manager in the firm’s Accounting and Audit Services Section, where she oversees the quality and timeliness of services to many of the firm’s accounting and audit clients.

Astrid is responsible for the execution and completion of client engagements. She works closely with engagement partners and teams to provide input into decisions including work plan and timeline, results and next steps relative to technical accounting matters, budget management and career development of staff accountants and auditors.

Her 22 years of experience, including 16 years with two Big Four firms, most recently at KPMG in Houston, includes audit, consulting, financial advisory, risk management and related services to clients throughout the Unites States and other countries. She has worked with public and non-public clients in the consumer products, manufacturing, government, credit unions, nonprofit, legal firms and employee benefit plans segments.

She earned her Master of Business Administration with an emphasis in Accounting and her bachelor’s degree in accounting from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock.

Other new team members include:

  • Chris Rusck: senior accountant in the Accounting and Audit Services Section. Chris earned his master’s degree in accounting from the University of New Orleans and his bachelor’s degree in accounting from Louisiana State University.
  • Sarah Bahan: staff accountant in the Accounting and Audit Services Section. Sarah earned her bachelor’s degree in accounting from the University of New Orleans.
