Remote Access
& Storage Solutions
Portals
are becoming a fast-growing method of remote access and storage solutions in business today.
Portals gather all network resources that users need in a single place, thus simplifying the
complexities of accessing those resources and allowing employees to be more productive. Novell
Netware 6 offers five types of portal services. The most common portal is the WebAccess
portal. This service provides web access to the Netware resources via the internet commonly
accessed through Netware client software. You can install WebAccess when you install Netware
6 through the custom installation option.

be a context menu for you to Close, Minimize or Maximize. Select one action and all the applications

Should You Upgrade to Windows XP?
Windows XP can be considered a
"must-upgrade" for those still using Windows 9x and Windows NT Workstation. It is a
consumer operating system built on the Windows NT/2000 core, which gives the end-user more stability
and better remote-computing ability, as well as improved hardware and software compatibility.
It is not necessary to upgrade to Windows XP if Windows 2000 is
your current operating system. Windows XP includes better support for transferring
files, and facilitates separate desktops for each family member in a home environment. IT
Professionals will benefit from its ease of deployment and reliability. XP also has a
compatibility mode which enables users to run applications designed for previous versions of
Windows.
